Their workforce of 46,000 employees supports diagnostics, employee wellness, and medical research initiatives, generating over $7.7 billion in annual revenue
CHALLENGES
The client faced several complex operational and technical challenges that required modernization:
- Highly Customized Legacy Systems: The legacy PeopleSoft platform supported ~39,000 non-exempt employees with unique, heavily customized service contracts.
- Complex Data Migration: Managing large volumes of balance data for a mid-year system conversion proved to be an enormous task.
- Compensation Complexity: The organization had intricate compensation plans requiring robust and configurable solutions.
- Integration Demands: The client relied on high-volume integration with both internal and external systems to support payroll and HR processes
RESULTS & IMPACT
Drivestream led a comprehensive Oracle HCM Cloud implementation. The project encompassed:
- Oracle HCM Cloud: Implemented Global HR, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll for U.S. employees, as well as Payroll Interfaces for international operations.
- Custom Solution Development: Replaced heavily customized PeopleSoft configurations with Oracle Cloud solutions using fast formulas and element configurations.
- Position Management: Enabled efficiency through advanced capabilities like Position Management and Manager Self-Service.
- Data Cleansing and Validation: Developed specialized routines for cleansing address data and validating HR information on Oracle Integration Cloud Services (ICS), processing over 250,000 records.
- Business Intelligence: Delivered robust reporting and business intelligence capabilities to enhance decision-making processes.
- Chart-of-Accounts Customization: Accommodated unique business structures, including Business Units, Regional Business Units, and Site Codes.

The innovative data cleansing routines ensured accurate and reliable HR data migration, supporting over 250,000 non-employee records. New features, such as Position Management and Manager Self-Service, empowered managers with tools to manage their teams efficiently while improving operational visibility.
